Foam-concrete body + flame-retardant XPS core. 75%+ energy saving as a single-leaf wall, no damp return, screws hold directly.
The cheapest insulation is the one already inside the wall. External cladding systems (ETICS) add three problems Gulf builders keep rediscovering: the board detaches, it catches fire, and its service life tops out around 20 years. A self-insulating block removes all three by building the insulation into the block itself.
The composite sandwich block is a foam-concrete body with a flame-retardant XPS core cast inside (GB/T 29060-2012). You lay one product and the wall is already insulated — no external board, no cavity fill, no render-and-mesh sandwich on site.
It meets a 75%+ energy-saving target as a single-leaf wall. That is the number Gulf energy codes are pushing toward; with the block you reach it without a second building trade on the facade.
Water is handled by the structure itself. The cement-layer pores are independent (closed), so the wall does not 'return damp' in the wet season — a problem ALC panels, clay brick and AAC all show on Gulf coastal projects. The insulation layer is sealed inside, so it stays dry and keeps its R-value.
You can screw into it. Nails and expansion bolts hold directly, unlike AAC which needs nylon anchors for anything heavier than a picture. Equipment, conduits and brackets fix straight to the wall with no cast-in inserts.
Service life is the building's life. An external foam board is a consumable — it degrades, detaches and gets replaced in a couple of decades. The sandwich block is monolithic and insulated for as long as the structure stands, cutting the biggest long-term maintenance line.
Schedule is shorter because there is no separate waterproofing and insulation operation. One trade lays the wall; the facade is done. On a multi-storey apartment project that difference is measured in weeks.
